Starting or interested in starting your own nonprofit organization? Before you jump in, it is important to understand all the complexities surrounding this inspiring and challenging endeavor to help others.
The workshop is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the differences between a nonprofit and a for-profit business as well as the essential elements to help start and grow a successful nonprofit. Workshop participants will understand the legal and practical considerations of taking a nonprofit start-up from vision to reality to becoming a 501 (c) (3) tax exempt organization and maintaining the status.
Presenter: Rolanda S. McDuffie, CPA, is a licensed member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a member of Chartered Global Management Accountant(CGMA). She has 18 years in diverse tax, financial and business consulting experience with focus on providing services for entrepreneurs, small to medium sized businesses and clients in the non-profit industry.
